Kazakhstan President Nursultan Nazarbayev said the election fully shows that the Chinese people highly endorse Xi's great contributions to safeguarding national interests. China will produce new achievements under Xi's leadership, and the two nations' comprehensive strategic partnership will continue its high-level development with joint efforts by both sides, he said.
"China contributes more than 30 percent of the world's economic growth, and it is amazing to see China continue to be so open and allow other countries to be a part of its development. President Xi being elected for another term is also a positive sign of China's continued prosperity going into a new era that will be great for the world both in terms of stability and economic development."
Liu Cigui, Party secretary of Hainan, said Hainan will help showcase China's efforts in building a community with a shared future for mankind and realizing the Chinese dream of national revitalization.
"The Party is the highest force for political leadership and the fundamental guarantee of the rejuvenation of the Chinese nation," Xi said.
Hainan has established sister relationships with 56 overseas provinces and cities worldwide, including Hawaii in the United States, South Korea's Jeju special autonomous province, Canada's Prince Edward Island, Finland's Oulu province and the state of Penang in Malaysia.
