Both sides can share experience in national governance and legislation, promote people-to-people and cultural exchanges and improve the legal environment for pragmatic cooperation, said Zhang, chairman of the NPC Standing Committee.
It is a shared aspiration of all Chinese people to safeguard China's sovereignty and territorial integrity and realize China's complete reunification, Xi said.
"The CPPCC is an organization of the united front, an important organ of multiparty cooperation and political consultation, and a major form of people's democracy," he said.
