Xi also called for more energy and more concrete measures to advance the building of an ecological civilization, accelerate efforts to develop green production and ways of life and work harder to tackle prominent environmental problems.
"Today, the creativity of the Chinese people is being unleashed to an extent like never before, which has been enabling our country to develop rapidly and stride forward at the forefront of the world," Xi said.
Lao President Bounnhang Vorachit said that under the leadership of the Chinese Communist Party with Xi as its core, the course of socialism with Chinese characteristics will make all-round, remarkable and historic achievements, and the traditional friendship and comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries will further develop.
Over the past thousands of years, the Chinese people have been united and stuck together through thick and thin, built a united country with various nationalities, developed harmonious relationships between 56 diverse and interwoven ethnic groups and formed a big Chinese family where they keep watch for and help defend each other, Xi said.
Zhang said China's National People's Congress (NPC) stands ready to work with Gambia's National Assembly to implement the consensus reached between the two heads of state.
The Republic of Korea's President Moon Jae-in said it is hoped that China will realize the Chinese Dream early under Xi's leadership and make greater contributions to peace and development in Northeast Asia and the world. This year marks the 10th anniversary of the China-ROK Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, and Moon said he would like to work with Xi to take the bilateral ties to greater maturity and into a new era.
