Hainan always has been a pioneer in reform and opening-up, with Boao serving as a bridge to the outside world. There are more than 200 important domestic and international conferences held in Boao every year.

Friday's meeting was the third gathering of the Central Commission for Integrated Military and Civilian Development, which was founded in January last year by the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee. It was the first time the top leadership had established a body dedicated to civil-military integration.
"The joint efforts will contribute to enhancing public awareness to protect relics, and will be helpful for the adoption of administrative punishments and criminal penalties," the top court said in a statement.
The SPC said it will improve the analysis and study of relics-related cases and set up an effective long-term system for heritage protection.
