The survey polled 1,964 people who had purchased household services across the country. Some 52 percent of the respondents said the domestic helpers they hired earned better salaries than they did.
Last year, as part of its China Ready initiative, the Scottish capital launched Scotland's first-ever destination campaign on influential Chinese social media sites Weibo and WeChat. The campaign was funded by the VisitScotland Growth Fund.
In addition, the mayor said globally known theme parks and beautiful villages with charming characteristics will be developed to lure tourists.
"If an app platform requires a certain working time and place and has a system for governing attendance, its agreement with service providers may be more easily identified as a labor relationship," she added.
"When participating in a reality show last year, I saw the plight of left-behind children in poverty-stricken areas, which drew my attention to poverty alleviation through developing culture," she said.
The campaign focused on theft of ancient tombs, ancient architecture, stone carvings, as well as frescoes and sculptures.
